RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a way for users to keep up on constantly changing information. As Web sites are updated, the new content is pushed to users who have subscribed to the Web site’s RSS feed. Thus users are kept up to date with information from their favorite Web sites without having to constantly check the site looking for updates.
In order to subscribe to RSS feeds, a user needs a program called an aggregator or RSS reader. These programs can be either web-based or desktop-based, depending on the user’s preference. The reader program checks a user’s subscribed feeds regularly and downloads any updates it may find. Click here to learn more and to find an RSS reader that may work for you.
