About Sharp's Residential Solar Installation Training
Sharp offers a comprehensive residential solar installation training program that certifies state-licensed contractors to install Sharp products once they pass the course exam on day three of the training. Formal certification is provided by Sharp Electronics Corporation and applies only to Sharp. Sharp's program satisfies local city and county-mandated training requirements for state-licensed contractors and imparts the knowledge and expertise you need to successfully master the art of a residential solar installation.Non-licensed individuals are welcome to take the installation training course but will not be certified. Sharp offers the hands-on, residential photovoltaic training in both New Jersey and California. No pre-requisites or prior solar installation training experience are required to register. Sharp's premier PV training course provides the hands-on experience and knowledge needed to competently and safely install residential solar systems and provides a technical manual that serves as a highly-effective field reference:
Day 1 Modules
AM: introduction to Sharp solar, the solar industry, and photovoltaic technology.
PM: NEC 690, system design, site assessment, cost analysis
Day 2: Inverter
AM: introduction to M215Z, components (cables, brackets, caps, etc), array builder, AC wiring, mounting, monitoring
PM: communication, enlighten, networking, activation, minor troubleshooting
Day 3: Mounting Hardware & Compliance Issues
AM: introduction to mounting hardware, hands on installation
PM: commissioning, troubleshooting, permitting, rebate information
