This free program is already delivering an enhanced experience to its more than 65,000 members, but beginning this month, member services will expand to include an HD set-up checklist, live Web chat capability, and pre-sale support to help consumers conduct research prior to making an HDTV purchase.

Members have always had access to AQUOS Advantage Advisors through the toll-free number 1-87-SEE-AQUOS for help with initial set-up, but now that level of assistance has been expanded; advisors will now guide customers through a quick and easy four-step High Definition set-up checklist that includes help with receiving HD content, configuring the remote control, selecting the correct cables, and adjusting the TV’s settings. Advisors will also be available via live Web chats from www.aquosadvantage.com, to answer set-up questions, and both phone and online advisors are on hand to provide pre-sales support about LCD and HDTVs in general, to help consumers make an informed and educated purchase. In addition, AQUOS Advantage members who purchase popular Sharp AQUOS Blu-ray DVD players can also receive this enhanced customer service for those products.

Sharp created the AQUOS Advantage program after extensive research with consumers across the country revealed the service offerings and premium service levels that customers valued most throughout the product ownership lifecycle.
New and existing customers can activate their membership by registering online at www.aquosadvantage.com or by calling a dedicated toll-free number 1-87-SEE-AQUOS. Once registered, program members will benefit from exclusive access to AQUOS Advantage Advisors with expertise in initial product set-up, maximizing the quality of picture and sound, and finding the right solution for each customer’s support needs. For added convenience, customer support hours for AQUOS Advantage members have been extended, and Saturday appointments are now available for in-home service visits*.
Members also receive priority repair services, including next business day scheduling and expedited service visits. If a television is removed for repair, the customer may be provided with a loaner TV until the repair is complete.*
A password-protected personalized homepage will provide AQUOS Advantage members with comprehensive information about their products. In addition, special promotions for extended warranties, installations and accessories will be made available exclusively to AQUOS Advantage members.
