When I turned on my YO-550 on January 1, 2001 I lost all my data? Is there a way to recover the lost information?
Unfortunately, any customer entered data from the device not backed up to a personal computer will not be recoverable.

Sharp will repair, free of charge, any YO-550 that is affected by the date error. Customers will need to call either 1-630-378-3590 or 1-800-310-3012 to send the unit in for service.

My organizer isn't working properly - what should I do?

You may need to reset the organizer's operating system. This procedure is not designed to delete any data; it is simply to reset the operating system.

Some default settings such as time, date, and start up displays will be lost. The data that is stored within the organizer's various applications will not be deleted.

Follow these simple steps:

While keeping the ON button depressed with your thumb, flip the entire unit over so you are now viewing the underside of the organizer. Use a ball point pen and press and release the reset button on the underside of the unit.

Turn the unit over so you are viewing the LCD display. You should see a message that reads similar to the following phrase "Delete All Data - Y/N". After seeing this message, release the ON button and press the letter "N" to indicate you DO NOT want to delete data.

If a reset does not solve your specific problem, please contact the Sharp Customer Assistance Center for additional assistance.

My unit will not turn on, what can I do?
First, check the battery replacement switch on the back of the unit and confirm that it is in the normal operating position (not battery replace position). If the unit still will not turn on, replace the operating batteries.

Will I lose my information when I change the batteries?
No, all of the YO series organizers include a backup battery to ensure that your data stays intact when you change the operating batteries. The backup batteries are generally good for up to 5 years. The unit will prompt you when it is time to change either the main or backup batteries.

I forgot my password - how do I delete it?

Following these steps will permanently remove all secret data, including the password, on the Wizard.

How do I make an entry secret?

To make an entry secret you must first set a password in the organizer. To do this in the YO-100/YO-110/YO-120, YO-200/YO-210/YO-250M/YO-260M, YO-300/YO-310/YO-350/YO-370/YO-380/YO-390, YO-600/YO-610/YO-620, you must press the "2nd" or "shift" key then press the "secret" key. It will then ask for a password - type your password, press enter. Then pull up entry. Then press "2nd", then "mark". The entry will then be invisible or secret.

For the YO-400/YO-430, PRESS 2nd and SECRET. The password entry prompt will appear. Enter your password and then press ENTER. The SECRET function is now set to operate and the "lock" will appear. To hide the entry, select the specific entry, press 2nd and then EDIT and then press 2nd and MARK (this places an * on the display).
