ePaper Displays

Minimal Power Needed

ePaper displays are battery-powered and designed to use minimal energy when content is updated. Unlike many traditional digital displays, the ePaper panel consumes zero watts while the image remains displayed, so information can stay on screen without continuous power to the panel.

What environmental programs does Sharp participate in?

Sharp Electronics advances sustainability through a broad range of environmental programs, including recycling initiatives for TVs, consumer electronics, MFPs/printers, displays, AQUOS BOARD® Interactive Displays, and rechargeable batteries, along with a free toner cartridge recycling program to help reduce landfill waste.

Some Sharp models also adhere to rigorous environmental standards such as ENERGY STAR®, which assess energy efficiency, product longevity, recyclability, and the use of non-toxic materials. By designing ENERGY STAR® certified appliances, air purifiers, and MFPs, Sharp helps lower energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
